Occasionally we have private bookings that could also affect our normal departure schedule.
The most up-to-date departure times will be posted on our information sign at the Baddeck Wharf.
Our vessel requires a minimum passenger number of ten persons to operate.
The Captain reserves the right to cancel or adjust scheduled departure times.

Poor weather conditions may affect our operations, but frequent weather monitoring is part of our daily conduct, with guest comfort and safety our top considerations. In the event of suspected poor weather conditions, please call.
ACCOMMODATING PRIVATE BOOKINGS
Please note that it is quite common that we may have a private reservation during one of our daily departure times (11am, 2pm, 4:30pm, and 6:30pm).

COVID-19
Please note that Covid19 restrictions have been lifted in the province of Nova Scotia, allowing us to re-open while following physical distancing.
Physical distancing will be observed throughout the experience on Amoeba Sailing Tours. Our crew will be seating parties according to their reservation. We encourage couples and small groups to enjoy the extra deck space as we operate safely, by accommodating less passengers.
At this time, provincial restrictions allow for households plus 10 other individuals to socialize without physical distancing. Mask wearing is encouraged, but not mandatory.
Private departures and group bookings are frequent with our operations.
When to SAIL
The Season
Amoeba Sailing Tours operates from end of May to Late October. During the months of May, June and September we are quite busy with school field trips and cruise ships who are visiting our beautiful island. July and August are our most popular months with many travelers visiting the island by themselves or with their families. September and October is a great time of year to come see the shoreline when the leaves are changing colour – just bring a light jacket!

We have hosted many wedding groups over the years, including actual marriage ceremonies on board. The Captain’s daughter was married aboard the Amoeba this July! Amoeba Sailing Tours offers guests a perfect opportunity to relax and mingle in a peaceful atmosphere, with friends old and new. To book a private sail, phone us at 1(902) 295-7780 during our business hours 9:00AM – 6:00PM Atlantic Time Zone (UTC -04:00). Please note this is a cell phone so when you call, you may be catching the Captain and crew while they are out for a sail!

Book our whole vessel for your Special Occasion. Capacity 40 persons for private tours. $700+hst / 2 hours.
Back Deck
Book half our deck space for a fun, small group outing. Semi-private booking for up to 10 persons. $300+hst / 2 hours.
